A CEO’s Vision for Community-Driven Impact

In 2019, Uma Devireddy, CEO of Lucid Technologies, launched a TEDx stage in the community as a personal passion project—one rooted in her lifelong dedication to STEM education, mentorship, and leadership development.
What began as a small idea has since blossomed into a nationally recognized platform that unites young leaders, local changemakers, and forward-thinking executives through one shared mission: inspire with ideas that matter.

From One Woman’s Vision to a Community-Led Movement

Under Uma’s leadership, a TEDx stage in the community has become more than an event—it’s a launchpad for leadership. Each year, the conference is planned and executed by a diverse and dynamic team of:

  • High school and college students interested in public speaking, STEM, and social impact.
  • Rising professionals learning the art of coaching and production.
  • Corporate and community leaders lending their expertise to elevate local voices.

This collaborative model not only builds confidence and communication skills-it prepares the next generation to lead with empathy, innovation, and purpose.

A Tradition of Innovation, Year After Year

As we celebrate our 6th annual a TEDx stage in the community conference this year, we reflect on the incredible momentum the community has built.

This year’s event will be hosted at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas on November 6th, 2025—a fitting location for ideas that are meant to take flight.
