Description: 

The objective of the ACE Engineering Services activities is to assist the Endpoint Technology Engineering group in implementing new features and services for ACE through assessing and testing new technologies and support processes.

Highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering. Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities. Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems. Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve the problems. Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required programs. Analyzes methods of approach. Reviews task proposal requirements, gathers information, analyzes data, prepares project synopses, compares alternatives, prepares specifications, resolves processing problems, coordinates work with programmers and engineers, and orients users to new systems. Works with considerable freedom to make decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used. Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • 10 year ‘s experience/expertise with Workstation Integration — base operating systems, software distribution, updates, and level three problem management support.
  • Typically performs all functional duties independently.
  • Server Integration — base operating systems, software distribution, updates, and level three problem management support
  • Migration Scripting, Development and Engineering
  • Folder Share process Development and Engineering
  • Terminal Server work and Remote App work
  • Remedy’s ticket produced by work with users
  • Package engineering and development
  • Software deploy process development
  • SOX or PCI Baseline configuration and or documentation
  • Workstation Health Development and Engineering
  • Server Health and Compliance Engineering
  • Work as requested by Desktop Computing
  • Active Directory — design and implementation, group policies, security groups, Applocker, user and computer objects, logon authentication, scripts, replication, forest and domains, release management, production, user/account provisioning, LDAP/application support and third level problem management support.
  • Remote Management — engineering and redesign of remote management tools 
  • Group will help support Help Desk tickets for tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3.
  • Other ACE related Engineering activities as requested by Desktop Computing from time to time during the Period of Performance.
  • Supplier engineers will be requested to check their Clients emails six times a day or greater for emails.
  • Statuses will be produced weekly in the form of an email.
  • Projects will be tracked thru PCTS
  • Projects will be tracked using standard Microsoft Project.
  • Vendor engineers must be given written approval from Desktop before starting task that are other than what is listed in PCTS

Work as requested

Education: 
  • A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years’ relevant experience.
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the indiviual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.

Additional Provisions: 
  • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening.  Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
  • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.  
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card). 
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. 
  • Cannot have more than 6 months’ travel outside the United States within the last five years.  Military Service excluded.  (Exception does not include military family members.)
  • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
  • Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization.  Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time
