Description:
We are searching for a top-notch Senior Unix/Linux System Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Raleigh, NC.
You will join the Midrange System Administration teams and provide Unix/Linux System Administration services for an assigned set of Client applications. The scope includes the full range of system life-cycle phases including, Build, Application /Service Provisioning, Operations and Decommissioning.
Note: Resource must be available to work onsite, willing to work on-call and weekends (will get called) at client facility in Raleigh, NC. With up to 2 days remote.
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Experienced Unix Specialist in high volume File Transfer Products.
Experienced Administrator to administer the (IBM) Connect Direct file transfer solution. This includes providing production support, patching support and product upgrades, troubleshooting any issues, as the Vendor releases them.

Installation and maintenance of OS
Contributor to Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.

Basic Qualifications:
The candidate considered for this position, must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 6 years’ experience, if the applicant possesses additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience dealing with management of large (>1000 systems) environments
Experience with Linux (SuSE and Red Hat)
Experience with patch management.
Have some understanding with configuration management of large environments, utilizing automation tools such as: Chef, Puppet, Ansible or other configuration management frameworks.
Ability to take customer requirements and create scalable configuration models to support them
Process Implementation and documentation
Experience using Change/Incident Management tools (ServiceNow)
Senior in Linux OS Administration.
Ability to troubleshoot problems from the Application tier, through the OS and Network tiers.
Unix Shell Scripting

Expertise with custom AutoYaST and Kickstart deployments
Expertise with SMT and custom patch solutions for SuSE and Red Hat systems
Expertise with GIT/ GitLab/Ansible/Ansible Tower
Expertise with Cassandra
Expertise with Oracle CRS (installation/configuration/maintenance)
Experience with Kafka
Experience with Hadoop
SOX/PCI Compliance Management
Local to the Eagan, MN area, no relocation assistance provide
Additional Provisions:
Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
