Job Description:
Client is looking for candidates for a System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) / Intune Engineer position who has specialized knowledge and skills in the technologies, tools, and an in-depth understanding of the underlying hardware and software architectures, the ability to recognize, diagnose and resolve complex problems, and ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies independently and quickly.
As an MECM/Intune Engineer, you will be responsible for providing support, collection and query creation and management, application and package creation and deployment, content distribution, management and troubleshooting, and custom report creation, end-to-end guidance and troubleshooting of MECM/Intune, policies application creation via MECM/Intune and best practice around both MECM and Intune.
Required Skills:
Experience and skills with scripting, application deployment, application packaging, software packaging, collection management, custom reporting, task sequences
Expert knowledge of SCCM and Intune to include device enrollment, policy management, application deployment, compliance enforcement, and conditional access
Solid understanding of VMware vCenter
Knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills with Microsoft MECM/Intune
Microsoft Endpoint Manager Administration and Architecture.
MECM Role implementation and troubleshooting
Intune policy creation and troubleshooting
Solid knowledge of PowerShell scripting to automate tasking and customize configurations
Solid knowledge of Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO management
Solid Windows troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPN and certificate-based authentication
Compliance and configuration policy implementation and troubleshooting
Co-Management implementation and troubleshooting
Application creation via SCCM/Intune and troubleshooting
Windows updates implementation and troubleshooting for both Intune and MECM
Task sequence creation and troubleshooting for Operating System Deployment (OSD)
Client health monitoring and troubleshooting
Autopilot implementation and troubleshooting
Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
Write PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasks.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals; work well within small and large team environments.
Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Participates in special projects as required
Windows Operating Systems and traditional client/server relationships
Use of GPOs for management and security
Working knowledge of Group Policy Management
WIM creation using Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
Manage or create Windows 10 in-place upgrades as needed
Familiarity of Microsoft SQL Server
Creating patch management strategies using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
PowerShell scripting experience to focus on automation.
IT Infrastructure Design, Deployment reporting and Remediation Analysis
Utilizing MECM and WSUS for Microsoft security patches, hotfixes
Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Education/Knowledge Requirements:
A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years’ relevant experience.
A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
Typically performs all functional duties independently.
Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
Additional Provisions
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months’ travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
