Job Title: IT - Cyber Security Architect/Engineer III
Location work will be performed: Washington, DC - (Remote support is authorized)
The Info Security Identity Access Portfolio is in need of Cyber Security Solutions Engineer/Architect supporting its Authentication Management at client office.
Job requirements :
Lead special projects or investigations into specific technology or solution issues and to shepherd research and piloting of new technologies. Serve as a point of contact for engineering efforts and has overall responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the customer's private enclave while maintaining compliance with the customer's enterprise-wide architecture policies and guidelines.
Job description:
Follow up with site administrators for status on non-compliant platforms and maintain any necessary exception documentation.
Configure and maintain IDS/IPS policies
Perform database maintenance on IDS/IPS management consoles
Maintain documentation for exceptions to standards.
Provides timely and adequate response to threats/alerts, including off-hour support.
The ability to assess security events to drive to a resolution.
Provides timely and sufficient response to security incidents and assessment services.
Promotes security awareness.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelors degree in an engineering/cyber discipline with at least 8 years of professional experience; or equivalent experience/combined education; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Must have certification on top of resume:
CompTIA Net+
CompTIA A+
CompTIA Security +
CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer
CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Additional Provisions
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months’ travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
